ARTISTS WANTED FOR EXHIBITION AND ONLINE REPRESENTATION

Artbrokering.com / Strategic Fine Art is always interested in forming partnerships with new artists. Aside from our current representation of major contemporary prints, this website and its accompanying advertising and promotion will be increasingly focused toward emerging artists and on the education of new art buyers. We’re eager to partner with and promote your work to a growing list of clients who are interested in acquiring affordable, original works by local and regional talent.

We’re enthusiastic about partnering with a small group of talented artists, both emerging and established, who are preferably formally trained (self-taught artists will also be considered). At the moment we’re specifically in search of painters who are creating exceptional original work in dimensions which will satisfy both individual as well as public /corporate (large scale work) buyers, in various media and of the following influences:

  • Male and Female Figurative: Styles similar to that of Lucien Freud, Raphael Soyer, Odd Nerdrum, Steve Huston, Skip Liepke, Philip Pearlstein, etc. Moody, sensual, powerful figurative work is desirable.

  • Urban Landscape, Landscape, Social Realism (subtle influences of Precisionism with Southern California light are of particular interest): Styles similar to that of R. Kenton Nelson, Ray Turner, Mark Beck, Sally Storch, Charles Sheeler, Edward Hopper, Suong Yangchareon, Reginald Marsh, works in the style of the Ash Can school, etc.

  • Color Field, Non-Objective, Expressionism etc.: Styles similar to that of Mark Rothko, Barnett Newman, Eric Orr, Charles Arnoldi, Richard Diebenkorn (constructs), Clyfford Still, Helen Frankenthaler, etc.

  • Work for Corporate and Hospitality Industry Applications: Generally, abstract works (unique, multi-media or print) on paper and canvas (large wall and free-standing sculpture also considered) suitable for corporate and/or hospitality industry applications. Works must meet the demands of large available quantities at reasonable prices required by those industries.

In order to facilitate meetings, openings, display and transport of your artwork, we’re looking to work specifically with artists residing ONLY in the Southern California area. If you feel that your work is of serious quality that would withstand critical scrutiny and satisfies the above qualifications, we’d like to hear from you. Please send between 5 and 20 slides and/or photos of your work, each clearly marked with your name, the title, dimensions and medium and we’ll contact you. If sending photos or slides, please include a SASE if you’d like them returned. If emailing visuals and/or bio, please type Artist in the subject line.

With all correspondence, please provide information about yourself, e.g. an artist statement, your mailing address and phone number, a brief description of your work and training and a website address, if you maintain one. After careful review of your submission, studio visits may be requested. Please allow up to 90 days for review of your work.

EMAILED IMAGES/ARTIST WEBSITE LINKS AND CVs ARE PREFERRED OVER MAILED PORTFOLIOS. Be advised, upon review of your submission you will be contacted ONLY if we feel we can assist you in successfully representing your work.

If you reside in the Los Angeles region and feel your work is of compelling quality, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.
